High-Performance Nitrocellulose (NC) Thinners for Professional Use

Brenna srl offers a wide range of NC Thinners, i.e., nitrocellulose thinners, pure and regenerated.

These thinners are intended for use with nitrocellulose paints, and their main characteristics are: effective dissolving power, resulting in a smooth film; high volatility and rapid evaporation leave a dry film. They have a pungent, distinctive odor (typical of highly volatile products) and are easy to use and and they dry quickly. Among our most popular thinners, made with pure products, are: MAM 811 (winter thinner), DN33 (summer thinner), and Nitro Thinner 1.

Diluents made with regenerated products include:

Fiordaliso Thinner (fast-drying – for washing and diluting), orchidea Thinner (fast-drying – for washing and diluting), and thinner X (medium-drying – for diluting).

Compatible Paints for Nitrocellulose Thinners

Here are some of the paints they can be used with:

Nitrocellulose-based paints: This is their primary use. These paints are very common for bodywork, furniture, and decorations, thanks to their quick drying and good adhesion.

Clear varnishes and enamels: They can be used to achieve glossy and protective finishes on various substrates, such as wood, metal, and plastic.

It’s important to remember that nitrocellulose thinners are primarily compatible with nitrocellulose-based paints. They are not suitable for water-based paints, acrylics, or other resins, as they may not mix properly or compromise the quality of the result.
